More specifically, cookies are sent from the server (physical location where the website resides) of the website visited to the user’s browser (Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.), they are stored locally on the latter’s computer, and then be retransmitted, at the next visit, to the same site.
During the navigation, the user may also receive on their terminal external site cookies (third-party cookies), set and used directly by the managers of the latter, in the manner and according to the purposes defined by the same.

Finally, cookies can remain on the user’s computer for long periods or for short periods, depending on their characteristics.

Their duration corresponds to the browser usage session and they are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
